STENA ESSEX EXPERIENCE WALK part-6. 29TH of APRIL 2017
On Saturday, April 29th, 2017 we are going to England again for the 6th walk in the Stena Essex Experience Walk. The intention was to continue the path from where we stopped the previous walk we did on the 5th October 2016. But we have taken the decision to return to the walk where it all started. This the part between Harwich and Manningtree.
The reason why we decided to walk this stage again is that most participants of the previous editions this route have not done yet.
Also the fact that we have with this walk minimal transport times speaks in favour of this route.
What also must be said is that this walk the most beautiful along with the following walk. The stretch from Manningtree to Greath Tey.
The first stop is at the Little Oakley Football club on the 14 km point, we won’t stop here too long. You can go to the toilet and have a’ quick cup of coffee or other refreshment at the bar in the canteen. If there are enough people who are to stop at this point and want to go straight to Colchester the bus of the organisation will take care of the transport. If there are not enough people for this you have to go by public transport.
At the 21 km point you can also quit the walk and continue by bus. This of bus of the organisation will be on the day near the walking group. The next point to be able to eat and drink is the pub in Bradfield, The Strangers Public House, this is at 24.5 km. At this point you can also go further by bus.
For people who want to stop at the 21 km point and want to go straight to Colchester have to do this at own cost by public transport. The organization will assist with the pointing to the bus stops and departure times of public transport.
